Having good Communication counts, so we employ great emphasis in our evergrowing methodologies.
Overview
We at iSource are innovators who everso constantly embrace multiple methodologies to draw the benefits of what different methodologies give. iSource is in particular strong at using the right methodology with the right project, and that counts.
- By have clear sequential phases and targets permits clear visibility of the status of where projects are at and opportunities for effective workflow systems to operate flawlessly.
- We are strong and everso learning and growing to embrace Program Life Cycles, Rapid Application Development, Waterfall Methodologies and newly devised Industry ISO's.
- We have adpated industry tools and techniques from amalgamating Best Known Procedures and methodologies and applied them to where they work. We are using and have built simple tools to complex management systems.
- Every person at iSource has awareness and knowledge of PLCA series of tools, which aid the analysts in carrying out their work. Tools may be such things as textbooks, data flow diagrams, report generating software etc.
- A training scheme that will allow the analysts and new users to adopt their new responsibilities according to the new standards.
- A philosophy, which has the underlying meaning that computer systems, are usually good solutions for organisational problems and processes.
Every normalisation is a formal plan however not every plan is a suitable methodology. For this reason Methodologies are employed and we are everso much committed to the likes of using SSADM which follows the software development life cycle (SDLC), and other methodologies such as Rapid Applications Development that use small parts of the life cycle. RAD is an extremely good methodolgy when there there is high cooperation and engagement with the Client, where one is able to build the project in exacting needs of detail where required.
Software Development
iSource follows a full Program Life Cycle and as required uses as much of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for software development throughout every project.
iSource's standardised and refined software development methodology provides a flexible framework for software development projects that can be used to deliver software on time, in budget and with high quality to meet customer requirements and deliver beyond their expectations.
The following steps are applied to each development project from initial inception to successful delivery. The Development process followed by iSource includes the following Life Cycle phases:
1. Initiation
2. Analysis and Planning
3. Software Requirements Specification
4. Software System Design
5. Software Development
6. Testing
7. Delivery
8. Support
Project Management
All projects are managed according to highly sophisticated development Project Plans. The status of projects are carefully monitored and tracked using these plans and corrective actions are taken wherever during the Development Life Cycle. iSource Project Managers as well as iSource Developers and even Customers are able to monitor the progress of development and testing processes.
Good project management fundamentally permits projects to deliver on 1st delivery and work around roadblocks and any complications. iSource is proud of its strong Project Managers who permit flawless execution of their project plans and forwardness of steering around roadblocks before they even occur. The project manager is responsible for:
- Project Plan elaboration with tasks, schedule and major milestones.
- Resources allocation in an effective and efficient manner.
- Project risks early identification for elimination or mitigation of their impact on the project.
- Communication with customer on all matters related to the project.
- Control over project progress according to the schedule and budget forecast set forth in the Project Plan.
